Yellowstone Tributes 6666 Ranch Manager Dr Glenn Blodgett in the Midseason Tittle Card
Fellow Texan and American screenwriter Taylor Sheridan now owns the legendary 6666 Ranch. The property holds a history starting in the 1800s when Samuel “Burk” Burnett founded it.
According to the real estate listing, Samuel named the property after the first herd he raised on the land called “6666.” However, legend also says that the founder won the ranch after winning a card game by scoring four sixes -thus named after it.
The historic ranch provides more than just inspiration for Sheridan’s neo-Western drama Yellowstone spin-off series. It is the third planned spin-off which is the development. Moreover, it is set in the present day on the Texas Four Sixes Ranch.
It was founded in 1870 and encompassed three properties, with the main section of the ranch falling in Guthrie in King County, Texas. In December 2020, the farm was traded with the will of the owner, who passed away in February 2020, Anne Burnett Marion.
More significant than the entire city of San Antonio city, the Ranch was put up for sale for $347.7 million earlier. In May 2021, a buyer group represented by Yellowstone creator Sheridon purchased the ranch for over $320 million.
Production on the acclaimed series has occurred on several parts of the property. A spin-off, set on the Four Sixes Ranch, will center on the character Jimmy Hurdstrom, who leaves the Yellowstone Ranch to join the 6666 Ranch.
Additionally, Jimmy’s fiancee will appear as the chief vet for the Ranch, and Ross (Barry Corbin) will play the role of an elderly cowboy at the ranch. The Texas ranch is also featured during the fourth and fifth seasons of the series.
