As Graham Spurrier changed congregations frequently, the family had to move around repeatedly during Steve’s early childhood. He has spent his growing years in various cities, like Charlotte, North Carolina, New Port in Tennessee, and Johnson City.
However, it was during his stay at Johnson City that Steve Spurrier first started manifesting his athletic talents. He became known as a good athlete all over the city, but at this point, his best game was baseball. Steve Spurrier got married to his lover from college, Jerri Starr.
