Sweeter Than Chocolate Hallmark Cast and Movie Review
Sweeter Than Chocolate was filmed in Canada like most other Hallmark movies. Consider, in 2022, 73 original Hallmark films were shot there (half of them were Christmas-themed).
Interestingly, 95 percent of the company’s stable directors are from Canada. Over half of the holiday projects are filmed in Canada, with go-to shooting locations ranging from Kelowna, British Columbia, to Selkirk, Manitoba.
In the context of Sweeter Than Chocolate, the movie is a holiday romance and many of its cast are Canadians, such as Jeannotte and Jordana. The channel’s other upcoming film Love In Glacier National Park was filmed at Fernie and Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort, British Columbia.
The Film Is Based On A Book
The original movie is based on a book written by author Lizzie Shane. Hallmark Publishing released the book on January 17, 2023.
Readers may have noticed the phrase “soon to be a Hallmark Channel original movie” as a product description on the vendor page for the book. The movie’s official announcement was made at the end of December 30, 2022.
Shane is a contemporary romance author born in Alaska. She has won the HOLT Medallion and the Golden Heart Award and has been named a finalist for Romance Writers of America’s RITA Award three times.
